StaffGenerator publishes a real 30-60-90 day onboarding guide

A new article breaks down a practical 30-60-90 day onboarding structure for new hires, with a checklist for each phase and who should own it.

StaffGenerator has published a new article on its blog: The 30-60-90 day onboarding checklist new hires actually use.

The piece argues that a flat onboarding task list fails because it treats every task as equally urgent, when in reality a new hire needs very different things in their first week than in their tenth. It replaces the flat list with three horizons: the first 30 days for landing, covering access, introductions, and one small real task shipped early; the next 30 for contributing, covering a real piece of visible work and scheduled feedback; and the final 30 for full ownership, ending in a genuine two way 90 day review.

Each horizon comes with a concrete checklist of what actually belongs in it, drawn from where onboarding plans most commonly go wrong, such as treating day one as the start of setup instead of the end of it.

The article also makes the case for giving the onboarding checklist itself a named owner, since an unowned checklist decays the same way any other undocumented process does: it survives the first few hires purely by memory, then quietly stops being followed.

The new article connects directly to StaffGenerator's own product: the onboarding checklist StaffGenerator generates for every role is structured around this same first-30-days horizon, tailored to the actual role and industry entered rather than a generic template.

The article is live now on the StaffGenerator blog, joining the site's existing guides on HR policies, job description writing, and standardising HR documents as a team grows.
