How to get paid for online research studies in 2026

OnlineMoney.blog published a guide to getting paid for online research studies, from short academic studies on Prolific to paid interviews and focus groups.

OnlineMoney.blog has published a new guide on how to get paid for online research studies in 2026: short academic studies on platforms such as Prolific, and longer interviews, focus groups and surveys for companies through recruiting platforms such as Respondent.

The guide gives each platform's pay as its own pages state it. Prolific requires studies to pay at least 6 pounds or 8 dollars an hour and recommends 9 pounds or 12 dollars, and pays to PayPal once an approved balance reaches 6 dollars or 6 pounds. Respondent lists a 75 dollar average payout and says most sessions pay 50 to 250 dollars.

It explains why invitations come irregularly, how a complete profile and honest screener answers lead to more of them, what to expect from waitlists and approval times, and the red flags of fake studies, starting with any request to pay a fee.

Paid research studies now also appear in the blog's comparison of ways to earn, rated on how soon they can pay and what they put at risk. Read it at onlinemoney.blog.
